Like That Staind Song

It's been a while. (And I think my husband would faint with joy at the fact that I referenced Staind in my blog post).

The fact of the matter is...I haven't really had anything to talk about. Life has been pretty boring. I could go on here and complain about different things, but no one wants to listen to that. That's what politicians are for.

I will say that I have nicely recovered from an 8-day streak of working, although I will not be fully recovered until our current sale and inventory are over. I leave work every night thinking...there was so much more I wanted to get done. It's all I can do to keep the line down and the sales floor clean presentable not-a-safety-hazard. (At least I had two days off after the 8 day streak. Although by the 2nd day I was quite bored.) It doesn't help that we have 3 new people on the team, so things get done a little more slowly simply because they haven't learned the ropes yet.

I do have Father's Day off and Matt will be making these amazing ribs on the grill. I'm not sure if I told him he's doing that yet, but it will be done.

I don't know if I mentioned that the bathroom has been in a state of remodel ever since we moved in back in February. Well, it is now (finally) beyond the halfway mark. All that remains to be done is to sand the dry-wall putty(?), paint, and finish the floor. Most of that I can probably do myself given the right tools. (Which may have to happen since the FIL told Matt that every time I ask about it he's going to put it off for another week.) The only thing I'm not sure about is cutting the plywood for the floor. One, I've never used a table saw. Two, I can't draw a straight line to save my life; how am I supposed to cut one? There is a possibility that if I do the measurements I can convince Matt to do the cutting. I'm pretty sure I can nail it down. A nail gun can't be that difficult to use...

Other than that, nothing all that thrilling is going on right now. So the (Slightly More) is turning out to be the (Slightly Less) adventures. Ah well, here's to a boring life!

*On a side note I have recently discovered that the mouse pad on my laptop minimizes and increases text and image sizes much like my touch-screen phone. Who knew?
